Abstract

PURPOSE: To smoothen and ensure perfect combustion by increasing heat conduction area and also to minimize consumption of auxiliary fuel, by pulverizing sludge which has been dried by using self-combustion heat or auxiliary fuel, and also by keeping the pulverized sludge in the state of floatation and suspension in space in an incinerator.
CONSTITUTION: Sludge cake whose moisture content has been reduced to 60W80% is carried from previous processing stage to a dryer 2 through a conveyor 1 and dried by steam 23 produced by a waste heat boiler 8. Solid having been dried to such an extent as to contain only 5% of moisture is temporarily stored in a storage tank 3, sent over to a pulverizer through a constant-volume feeder 4, pulverized to such a particle size as 50W300 mesh, jetted into an incinerator 7 by a pneumatic conveyor 6 and burned in the state of suspension. The waste heat generated by perfect combustion of exhaust gas in the incinerator 7 is collected by the waste heat boiler 8 and an air preheater 9, and ash content in the exhaust gas is collected by a cyclone 10 and then sucked by a suction fan 11. And a part of gas volume Gr is circulated in the incinerator 7 as a circulation gas.
