Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out the calcination of a stock material by supplying an adequate amount of a fuel to a conduit supplying the preheated powder stock material to a raiser duct to hold an interior of the riser duct under a reductive atmosphere to remove nitrogen oxides in a kiln waste gas effectively. CONSTITUTION:The preheated powder stock material is supplied to the riser duct 4 from a preheated stock material conduit 7. To an appropriate position of said conduit 7, a supply apparatus 8 of a fuel such as a heavy oil or a fine powder coal is provided and the fuel is united into the powder stock material. Further, a high temp. waste gas from a rotary kiln 12 is introduced into the riser duct 4. In this case, a carbon monoxide concn. is measured by a carbon monoxide analyser 13 provided to an upper part of the duct 4 and, based on the resulting valve, a flow amount control vlave 15 is controlled through a controller 14 to control a supply amount of the fuel. By the above described method, the maintaenance of a reductive atmosphere in the riser duct 4 is made easy and the calcination of a cement stock material or the like can be carried out by a simplified apparatus.
