Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a forgeable super heat resistant Ni alloy with superior heat resistance and high temp. creep characteristics by adding a specified percentage of C, Cr, W, Ca, Mg, etc. to Ni.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy is prepared consisting of 0.04W0.25% C, 10.0W25.0% Cr, 10.0W25.0% W, 0.005W0.05% Ca, 0.001W0.02% Mg and/or a 0.001W0.02% rare earth element, ≤1% Al and/or ≤1% Ti (0.1W1.5% Al+Ti), 0.1W3.0% Nb and/or 0.1W1.5% Hf and the balance Ni and inevitable impurities. To the alloy may be added 0.005W0.100% Zr. This alloy is suitable for use as a structural material for a high temp. gas nuclear reactor.
