Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform code conversion with a simple processing, by selecting a pertinent subtable from plural subtables by the input code and by operating contents of the starting code and the displacement table in this subtable. CONSTITUTION:In the code conversion system where code table 13 is used to convert the input code to a code corresponding to this input code and output it, code table 13 is divided into plural subtables A-D, and each subtable 20 consists of one presentative code (starting code) 21 and displacement table 22 corresponding to the order of respective codes in this subtable, and prescribed subtable 20 in table 13 is selected by the table selecting signal of the input code, and starting code 21 in subtable 20 is operated according to contents of displacement table 22 in the order in this table to output a corresponding code. As the result, the input code is converted to another code (inferface code).
