Abstract

PURPOSE:To constitute an excellect receiver which is free from noises and beat sound in channel selection by controlling the time constant or gain of the low-pass filter of a PLL circuit in a state suitable, for AM, SSB and memory access modes respectively. CONSTITUTION:In reception of an AM-modulated wave, monostable multivibrator 18 is driven to generate a pulse of time width tau1, which switches time-constant change-over switch 27 to low-pass filter 24 with a sufficiently-large time constant, reducing absence of a reference frequency component. In the case of SSB, on the other hand, monostable multivibrator 19 is driven to generate a pulse of time width tau2 and time-constant change-over switch 28 is changed over to low-pass filter 26 with a sufficiently-small time constant, varying the output of local oscillating circuit 8 suddenly. Further, the output of multivibrator 19 is applied to the muting part of low-frequency amplifier 10 to eliminate transient noises.
