PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of circuit and at the same time increase the AFC sensitivity, by using an FM wave detection output of an FM tuner for the AFC control input of an AM tuner in a receiver having an FM tuner and an AM tuner. CONSTITUTION:A signal induced at an FM antenna 1 receives an FM-RF amplification 2 and is mixed 4 with a signal sent from a local oscillator 3 to produce a prescribed IF signal (e.g. 10.7MHz). This IF signal receives an IF amplification 5 and then an IF amplification 7 via a BPF6 to receive a wave detection through a wave detector 8 and with an audio signal. The AFC signal obtained from the wave detection output controls an oscillator 3. On the other hand, a signal induced at an AM antenna 9 receives an AM-RF amplification 10 and is mixed 12 with a signal sent from a local oscillator 11 to obtain a prescribed IF signal. This IF signal receives an IF amplification 13 and then an AM wave detection 15 via a BPF14, and at the same time receives a multiplication 16 to be turned into 10.7MHz and then applied to an amplifier 5. Then an oscillator 11 is controlled by the IF signal as an AFC signal obtained from the output of the detector 8.
