Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a radio receiver featuring the good reception irrespective of the fact whether the frequency of the reception signal is an integer-fold of the reference frequency or not by providing two selection circuits plus the means to select either one of the two selection circuits to the intermediate frequency amplifier circuit. CONSTITUTION:Intermediate frequency amplifier circuit 6 consists of two selection circuits 8a and 8b featuring different central frequencies to be selected, change-over switches 9a and 9b to select either one of circuits 8a and 8b, and amplifier circuit 10. And the output of circuit 6 is supplied to detection circuit 7. Here when the central frequencies of circuits 8a and 8b are defined as fa and fb with the frequencies defined as fia and fib respectively for intermediate wave signal (e) obtained through frequency mixer circuit 5, frequencies fa and fb are set so that fa=fia and fb=fib may satisfied each. As a result, the good reception is ensured regardless of the fact whether or not the frequency of the reception signal is an integer-fold of the reference frequency.
