Abstract
PURPOSE:To arrange so that no dust settles around the end part of the optical fiber, by mounting adjacent to the end part of the optical fiber a transparent solid so that a closely attached surface is made between the object to be read. CONSTITUTION:Adjacent to an optical fiber plate 6 which constitutes a reading part, a flat transparent solid, a transparent resin 12 for instance, is mounted on a part to be a path for a light source 8. In this formation the reading part can be closely attached to the original drawing 5, object for reading. With such an arrangement no dust that could disturb the right electric output signals settles around the end part of the optical fiber where the light to be read takes place.
