Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit integral casting of windings and a core and reduce the number of processes needed for assembling a high-voltage transfomer as well as prevent distortion caused by cure shrinkage and improve the reliability as a high-voltage transformer having excellent electric characteristics by filling it with silicone in gel state. CONSTITUTION:After the transformer comprising a high-voltage winding 1, a low- voltage winding 2 and a core 3 is inserted into a case 4 and secured, silicone 9 in gel state is filled into the case 4 under a reduced pressure so that the whole of the windings 1 and 2 and 75-100% of the core 3 are dipped. Then, the silicone is heated at a given temperature for a given period of time to gel, and a cover filling member 10 is cast on the gel silicone opening surface 9a so as to surround terminals 5 and hardened on heating. Then, the windings 1 and 2 and the core 3 are integrally cast. Thereby, the number of processes needed for assembly is reduced, the distortion produced in cure reaction is prevented, and a high-voltage transformer having excellent insulation characteristics and high reliability is manufactured.
