PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of a ring bus and to improve the reliability by performing signal transmission to an annular light data transmission network by mixing transmitted light of wavelength set corresponding to the received light wavelength of a party communication station. CONSTITUTION:Under the control of the station 12, transmitter 13 modulates and outputs a light wave of the same wavelength as that of the received light wave of a party communication station corresponding to data. This transmitted light is mixed by photocoupler 17 with another light wave transmitted onto ring bus 11 to transmit the mixture. Of the light wave on ring bus 11, only the light wave of the wavelength assigned to the station is branched through the filtration of light branching filter 16 and demodulated by receiver 14 before being applied to station 12.
