Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower the electrostatic attraction force that is generated along with the conveyance of an original to the extent of not hindering the conveyance of the original by subjecting an original imposing member to transparent conduction treatment. CONSTITUTION:An original supplying part 2, an automatic original feeding mechanism 3, an original stacking part, that is, a paper discharge tray 4 are successively disposed on the top surface of a copying machine body 1. A glass sheet 5 as a light transmittable original imposing member is provided in the lower part of the mechanism part 3 and a transparent conductive material such as, for example, indium oxide or tin oxide is coated or vapor-deposited on the original surface 5a thereof, whereby a film 5c is formed. By this treatment, the light transmittance of the glass sheet 5 is lowered by about 0-10% within a 400-600mmu wavelength region, but this is of no problem in practical use, and the electrostatic attraction force acting between the original and the light transmittable original imposing member is lowered uniformly over the entire surface of the light transmittable original imposing member and the thin original is smoothly conveyed as well.
