PURPOSE:To prevent the jump phenomenon of the trailing edge of a carrier sheet when a thick original is copied, by placing the end part of a carrier sheet receiver below the surface of a contact glass and placing one part in the lower stream of the carrier sheet above the surface of the contact glass. CONSTITUTION:When a carrier sheet 18 where a thick original is set is carried from the surface of a contact glass 8 by carrier carrying rollers 15 and 16 and is ejected, an end part 22a of a carrier sheet receiver placed in the ejection part is placed below the surface of the contact glass 8, and a part of the carrier sheet in the lower stream side in the advance direction is placed above the surface of the contact glass 8; and therefore, a trailing edge part 18b of the carrier sheet 18 is not jumped after it is released from rollers 5 and 15, consequently, the picture blur is not generated.
