Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent undesired charge, which may impede sound corying, stably and securely, by covering the surface of exposure glass, lens, mirror, etc., with a transparent antistatic coating of which leakage resistance is less than the specified value.
CONSTITUTION: Colloidal disperse transparent liquid of partial hydrolytic matter having tetrafunctional silicon tetrachloride reacted with water in specified amount of monohydric alcohols or esters, is sprayed and dried to form a coating 41 of 2W3μ thickness, which is formed on the back side of a glass plate 4 on which is placed the original for exposure. The coating 41 has a surface leakage resistance of 109W 1011Ω, and excels in consistency, water resistance and wear resistance, so that charging of the back side of the glass 4 may be prevented stably and securely. Similarly, by covering the surface of optical elements such as lens and mirror, contamination by deposit of toner powder and attraction of glass plate and original may be prevented, so that sound image copying may be achieved.
