Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a write/read circuit, by making a residual part produced by dividing a length of write data by the length of sector to blank data in a data recording system in which the length of the record data has an integer-fold value compared with that of the sector. CONSTITUTION:The record length is set to the data length counter 1 from the CPU during a writing of data, and the counter 1 is counted down with every input of the data. When the count value becomes zero, the data write gate 4 is turned off with the dummy write gates 1 and 2 turned on. The gate 2 is turned off when the sector counter has a value of (sector length)-(CRC code length), and thus the CRC code is written. When reading the data, the read data READDATA is converted into a parallel form through the serial-parallel converter 11 and at the same time receives an error check at the CRC control part 10 to be sent to the CPU. Thus the data read/write process is possible with a simple hardware and without having any special program process.
