Abstract
PURPOSE:To use an AC induction motor for an electric dynamometer to omit a deflecting mechanism by using a hollow shaft as the rotor shaft of the induction motor by running a torsion shaft through the hollow shaft, and by detecting the torsional displacement angle of the torsion shaft for the use as the dynamometer. CONSTITUTION:Equipment 2 to be tested and rotor of induction motor 14 are coupled together via coupler 3 and torsion shaft 12 passing through hollow rotating shaft 11. From the output of coupler-side torsional displacement angle detector 13 and no-coupler-side torsional displacement angle detector 16 coupled with hollow rotating shaft 11 via variable speed gear mechanism, the displacement of torsion shaft 12 is detected and then calculated to find the torque and power, which are displayed on power display device 4.
