Abstract

PURPOSE: To balance the load distribution applied on respective DC motors by a unit wherein a field current is controlled in proportion to an armature current in a range where the armature current is large, while a field current with a predetermined level is supplied in a range where the armature current is small.
CONSTITUTION: A thyristor control unit 11 transmits a gate signal to a thyristor phase control unit 3 corresponding to the difference between outputs of an armature current pattern generator 9 and a current detector 10. A priority circuit 18 gives priority to an output from an armature current proportional pattern generator 17 when an acceleration current is large, and to an output from a constant current generating pattern generator 19 when the accerelation current is small. A phase corrector 21 transmits a gate signal to an exciting rectifier 14 corresponding to the difference between outputs of the priority circuit 18 and a current detector 23. By so doing, load distribution applied on respective motors keep the balance substantially.
