Abstract

PURPOSE: To assure a necessary braking force, by increasing an armature current in a high speed range to raise a commutation failure limit and lowering an induced voltage in inverse proportion to the magnitude of the armature current in power regenerative braking.
CONSTITUTION: In regenerative braking, a braking force pattern generator 13 produces a prescribed pattern to supply an output signal to an armature current pattern generator 28. A pattern conversion speed etector 27 is provided to control an armature current to be larger than a prescribed value in a high speed range. The detector detects such a speed as to generate an induced voltage in a DC motor, which is determined by the commutation failure limit of a power converter. The armature current pattern generator receives the output of the detector 27 to generate a prescribed pattern to apply a signal to a comparator 15. The comparator compares the pattern with the signal of a motor current detector 26. A signal showing the difference between the compared quantities is applied to a phase shifter 16 to control a thyristor bridge 17 for an armature circuit.
