Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain reactive power controller which responds long period system voltage fluctuation but not responds to short time voltage fluctuation, by supplying reactive current vector through delay element to control system.
CONSTITUTION: Reactive current vector detector 32 is coupled to output circuit of generator 31 and the output signal is applied through delay circuit 33 onto the resistor 28a. Said voltage functions to increase the setting voltage of the variable resistor 26 resulting in the increase of apparent generator voltage. Consequently excitation of the generator is weakened through the field controller 29 and the field 30, to drop generator voltage thus to suppress reactive current. As a result reacitve power is automatically controlled irrespective of power system voltage fluctuation
