Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the rectifying characteristics by controlling the exciting current of a separately-excited field coil in accordance with the correlation pattern between the predetermined output current of a generator and the exciting current of the separately-excited field coil of a motor, thereby reducing the armature current of the motor.
CONSTITUTION: A frequency regulator 16 controls the exciting current of the separately-exciting coil 11 of a motor 5 so that the output frequency of a generator 13 becomes a set frequency. A function generator 18 controls via a current limiter 19 so that the exciting current falls within the correlation pattern between the output current of the generator and the exciting current of the separately-excited field coil in accordance with the output current of the generator 13 from an output current detector 17 and the exciting current of the coil 11 from a series resistor 12. In this manner, since the armature current of the motor can be reduced, preferable rectifying current can be obtained.
