Abstract

PURPOSE:To copy a dichromatic original while freely changing over an arbitrary copying mode by using a composite photoreceptor consisting of two or more layers and repeating electrical charging twice or more and exposure once or more in combination with each other. CONSTITUTION:The 1st layer 1b and the 2nd layer 1c as at least two layers are laminated on electrically conductive substrate 1a to manufacture a composite photoreceptor for copying. At least one of layers 1b, 1c is formed as a photoconductive layer, and the other layer as an insulating layer or a photoconductive layer. When a dichromatic original is copied using the photoreceptor, a copying process is carried out by repeating electrical charging twice or more and exposure once or more in combination with each other. Thus, a plurality of copying modes of different conditions can be accomplished with a single copying machine.
