Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the opening of a pistonlike throttle valve by a cam plate to be rotated by a small electric motor with high accuracy by converting the rotation of the cam plate into a reciprocative motion through a spiral groove cam and a follower cam.
CONSTITUTION: In an autobicycle or other small automotive vehicles, when the electric motor 29 is driven is one direction and the reversed direction by a driver or according to the driving condition, the rotation of the electric motor 29 is transmitted to a small gear 28 and a large gear 27, decreasing the rotation speed. The large gear 27 rotated at a decreased speed and also used as the cam plate 31 makes the follower pin 33 move up and down along guide grooves 34 and 35 following the rotation of the spiral cam groove 32 provided in the cam plate 31. Accordingly, a connecting rod 36 supported at the end of the follower pin 33 moves up and down and the pistonlike throttle valve 19 connected to the counecting rod 39 also moves up and down. As a result of this, a needle valve 21 at the lower end of the throttle valve 19 is advanced or retracted with respect to a fuel nozzle so as to control the fuel injection rate.
