Abstract
PURPOSE: To control engenderment of murky smoke as well as to save fuel in such a way that a fuel injection pump is set automatically controllable in three states, such as start-up, drive and stop in proportion to the operation of a key switch the same as a gasoline engine.
CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic governor 2 fitted to an injection pump 1 is divided into two by a diaphragm 3, a control level 13 co-operates with a stopper cam 12, the stopper cam 12 is operated the outside of the injection pump. A rotary arm 15 is rotated by an intermittent drive mechanism composed of a roller 22 and a Geneva cross 25, and positioning in done by three points, such as start-up position 16, drive control position 17, stop control position 18. A rod 14 converts rotational motion of the rotary arm 15 to swinging motion of the control level 13, and controls fuel increment injection, ordinary injection and injection stop in such a way that three positioning, such as X'.Y'.Z' of the stopper cam 12 are respectively brought to correspond with said three positions.
