Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically regulate the fuel injection timing by a scavenging pressure by a method wherein a fluid actuator operated according to a fluctuation of the scavenging pressure is coupled with a link work for driving a suction valve of a fuel pump through a cam mechanism and a fluid pressure servo mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A scavenging pressure through hole 11 of an engine is formed in the fluid pressure actuator 1, and a telescopic rod 6 is telescopically advanced or retreated following the fluctuation of the scavenging pressure accompanying the operation of the engine. Advancing or retreating the rod 6 rocks the cam unit 13 with an axis 15 as a center and as a result, a cam rod 28 of the hydraulic serve mechanism 18 contacted with a cam surface B is telescopically advanced or retreated. The hydraulic servo mechanism 18 is actuated so as to telescopically advance or retreat an actuating rod 24 following the advance or retreat of the cam rod 28.
