Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise efficiency of contact between a gas and a reactant, and to control attachment of scales to the inside of a gas treating apparatus, by providing an inner cylinder in said cylindrical apparatus and connecting the upper and lower ends of the space formed between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder, with the inside of the inner cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: A gas flow route is narrower in the lower part and wider in the upper part in the gas treating apparatus, and inner cylinder 6 is installed in reaction cylinder 2. The upper and lower parts of inner cylinder 6 are opened so as to allow the gas to freely flow through the space between cylinder 2 and cylinder 6. The gas to be treated is introduced from inlet 1 of the gas, and a power or mist of a reactant is ejected from nozzle 5. Since a vacuum state is caused in zone (A), part of the gas is drawn down through between cylinders 2 and 6 and recirculated, thus permitting scaling on the inner circumference and also blowing through of an unreacted gas to be prevented even when the reactant is sufficiently ejected from nozzle 5.
