CONSTITUTION: The Al alloy containing 0.10W1.0wt% of Mn and 0.05W0.5wt% of Zn, the balance being substantially Al, exhibits excellent pit corrosion resistance in an environment involving the presence of heavy metal ions such as Cu ions, has a relatively high high-temperature strength and has a low resistance to thermal deformation. The alloy is a suitable material for pipes and fins of heat exchangers.
