Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an Ni alloy for a cast denture base having a lower m.p. and slightly moderated strength and enabling casting with a gypsum filler by adding a specified amount of Co, Cr, Mo, W, Cu, Si and C to Ni. CONSTITUTION:This Ni alloy consists of 3-42% Co, 5-30% Cr, 2-18% Mo, 0-10% W, 0-10% Cu, 0.1-3% Si, 0.01-0.5% C and the balance Ni and inevitable impurities. By this composition the alloy has a significantly lowered m.p. to enable a gypsum filler to be used. Since the filler does not stick to castings of the alloy by burning, inferior goods are reduced. In addition, the alloy has superior characteristics such as small casting shrinkage and high grindability as a material for a denture base.
