Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a bearing alloy excellent in wear resistance and loading resistance and easy of casting and machining, by incorporating specific percentages of Al, Cu, Ni, and Co to Zn. CONSTITUTION:An alloy which has a composition consisting of, by weight, 8-20%, preferably 12-15%, of Al, 8-15%, preferably 9-12%, of Cu, 0.1-5.0%, preferably 0.5-3.0%, of Ni and Co as simple substance or a mixture thereof, and the balance mainly Zn (Mg and inevitable impurities may be contained) is prepared. By this method, the alloy having superior characteristics as bearing material can be obtained.
