EXAMPLE: Hexahydrofarnesyl sicotinate.
USE: A choloesterol lowering agent with no side effect, e.g., hepatomegaly action, etc.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula A-CO-X (X is OH or reactive residue) is reacted with a compound shown by the formula B-OH optionally in the presence of a condensation agent (e.g., p-toluenesulfonic acid, Vilsmeier reagent, etc.) or an deoxidizer to give a compound shown by the formula I.
