Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a polyurethan e foam by lowering the viscosity of resin and by inhibiting exothermic heat during the production, by a method wherein an inorg. filler having a specified particle diameter is used in the production of the polyurethane foam.
CONSTITUTION: An inert gas is uniformly dispersed in a mixt. with mechanically stirring to form a stable foam which is then heated and cured. Said mixt. consists of a compd. (A) having at least two active hydrogen atoms (e.g. ethylene glycol), an org. polyisocyanate (B) (e.g. 2,4-tolylene diisocyante), 5W80wt% inorg. filler (C) having an average particle diameter of 1μ or above (e.g. Al2O3.3H2O), and 0.0001W10pts.wt. (per 100pts.wt. of the component A) catalyst (D) of formula I or II (wherein M is Ni, Cu, Fe; R1W4 are alkyl, phenyl; n is 2 or 3) and, if necessary, other additives such as a foam stabilizer.
