Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition curable at room temp., having excellent insulating characteristics, humidity resistance, and adhesivity, and suitable for the sealing resin of electronic parts, by compounding a mixed polyol obtained by adding a dihydric alcohol to modified castor oil, with an isocyanate compound as a curing agent.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is composed of (A) a mixed polyol obtained by mixing (i) 100pts.wt. of a modified castor oil prepared by reacting 1mol of castor oil with 0.3W0.8mol of a monoisocyanate compound of formula R-NCO (R is univalent aromatic, aliphatic or alicyclic residue) with (ii) 10W 40pts.wt. of a dihydric alcohol of formula (R is 2W4C alkyl), and (B) an isocyanate compound having ≥2 isocyanate groups in the molecule (e.g. diphenylmethane diisocyanate) as the curing agent of the component (A).
