Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition having improved mechanical and electrical properties, heat resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and processability, obtained by blending a hydrogenated polyhydroxybutadiene polymer with a specific isocyanate prepolymer.
CONSTITUTION: A) A hydrogenated polyhydroxybutadiene polymer having preferably not less than 60wt% of butadiene residue and not more than 50wt% of styrene residue in the high polymer chain is blended with B) an isocyanate prepolymer as a curing agent obtained by reacting a) one mole of castor oil with preferably 3W6mol of an isocyanate prepolymer shown by the formula. An amount of the ingredient B is preferably 0.8W1.5 equivalent calculated as isocyanate group based on hydroxyl group in the ingredient A.
USE: Casting, composition for impregnation, coating agent, adhesive, caulking agent, potting material, etc.
