Abstract

CONSTITUTION: One hundred pts.wt. petroleum component having physical property values, e.g. a specific gravity of 0.6W1.0, especially 0.65W0.85, the initial boiling point of 10W240°C, especially 10W120°C, the 50% running point of 40W360°C, especially 45W160°C, and the end point of 140W400°C, especially 140W350°C, is mixed with 0.1W30pts.wt. especially 0.1W15pts.wt., essentially amorphous polyethylene and/or polypropylene, preferably having an average molecular weight of 10,000 or less, a halogen content of at most 50ppm. and a combustion residue of at most 0.1wt%. When the combustion residue exceeds the range mentioned above, a treating agent, e.g. mono- or dihydric alcohol, needs to be used for eliminating the residue.
