Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition that is made by adding an inorganic filler of a specific aspect ratio and a petroleum resin to an unsaturated carboxulic acid-modified dropylene polymer, thus being suitably used as large-size parts for cars, because of its good coating properties, heat-resistant toughness and resistance to warpage on molding.
CONSTITUTION: 20W90wt% a modified propylene polymer containing 0.001W10wt% of unsaturated carboxylic acid, preferably acrylic acid, or its derivative, preferably of more than 40 isotactic indes, is kneaded with 0.5W30wt% of a petroleum resin, preferably of higher than 70°C softening point, and 10W60wt% of an inorganic filler consisting of an inorganic filler other than fiber glass such as mica of more than 3 aspect ratio, or a mixture theeof with a fiber glass of more than 3 average aspect ratio. Further, the addition of fine particles of calcium carbonate of 0.05W1.0μ average size improves the coating properties greatly.
