Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the promotion of improvement for porosity and substrate strength, by mixing and sintering a nickel powder and an alkaline resistant metallic fiber, like nickel fibers, having a prescribed fiber diameter. CONSTITUTION:A nickel powder and an alkaline resistant metallic fiber, likely of nickel fiber or iron, with a nickel plating applied, having a diameter of fiber 2- 50mu, are made mixing with a water solution, including an organic viscosity improving agent like, for instance, carboxy methylcellulose, and made into a state of slurry, and after being uniformly applied and coated onto the metallic support unit such as nickel net, sintered in a reductive ambience.
