Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible the production of cast billets of various width sizes by inserting and disposing removable and movable width-dividing short-piece copper plates between the opposing long-piece copper plates in the mold of continuous casting equipment. CONSTITUTION:The copper plate keep plate 14 provided with width-dividing short- piece copper plates 9 on both side faces and connected with cast billet keep rolls 16, cast billet-cooling water-spray nozzles 18 and copper-plate-cooling water tubes 19 is inserted and disposed between the opposing long piece copper plates 10, 10 of a mold 8.
