Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare L-lysine in high yeild, by culturing L-lysine-producing bacteria belonging to Brevibacterium genus and resistant to an inhibitor of oxaloacetic acid decarboxylase.
CONSTITUTION: Bacteria belonging to Brevibacterium or Corynebacterium genus and capable of producing L-lysine and resistant to oxaloacetic acid decarboxylase inhibitor, are aerobically cultured in a conventional nutrient medium containing carbon sources and nitrogen sources, at 24W37°C and pH5W9 for 2W7 days, and the objective L-lysine is separated from the medium by, e.g. ion exchange resin treatment, etc.
