Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate a work of maintenance and inspection, by means of controlling an operation of valve timing, in such connection of the actuator, driven by suction or compressed gas changed in accordance with a state of operation, to between follower and driver. CONSTITUTION:For operation at low speed, with an induction port 65 of a valve unit 68 opened, suction or compressed gas passes through a fixed passage 41 and rotary passages 42, 43, and reaches a pressure actuator 13 to extend a rod 20. In consequence, a phase difference between a driver 8 and a follower 11 comes to be zero, and an intake and exhaust valve are opened and closed at an initial crank angle. On the other hand, when becoming a high speed operation, becouse the valve unit 68 opens an atmospheric side passage 62, the atmospheric pressure is fed to the pressure actuator with the rod 20 contracted. Consequently, the follower 11 enlarges a phase in a manner of delay angle for the driver 8, and a cam shaft 5 is rotated in a delay angle.
