Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve filling efficiency and heat efficiency by shortening the overlapping timing for a valve in delaying an intake control valve opening timing at low speed in an internal combustion engine while reducing the opening of the intake control valve at small load so as to curve an intake passageway. CONSTITUTION:In respective intake passageways communicated to respective cylinders of an internal combustion engine M1, there is provided a valve M2 for continuously controlling the opening areas of respective passageways, which is driven by a means M3. The other hand, there is provided a means M4 for detecting the operating condition of the revolutional speed and load of the internal combustion engine M1. Further, there is provided a means M5 for calculating the target timing in delaying the opening timing of the valve M2 in compliance with the reduced revolutional speed. In addition, there is provided a means 6 for calculating the target timing in increasing/decreasing the opening of the valve in compliance with the increasing/decreasing of the load. There is provided a means M7 for outputting the predetermined control command in compliance with the target valve opening timing and target opening.
