Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain heat-insulating tube of high heat-insulation properties which can easily be mounted on piping by attaching adhesive film having hot melt-type adhesive layer on one side of film, on tubular foamed element under special condition and dissecting tubular foamed element. CONSTITUTION:Long adhesive film 1 having hot melt-type adhesive layer on one side is heated by heater 3 while being wound back. Then adhesive is softened and melted to be attached to tubular foamed element 2. Film 1's one edge is placed in such manner that it may almost meet a line parallel to a central axis on the external circumference of foamed element 2. After this process, foamed element 2 is made to rotate and film 1 is wound around the foamed element 2 for attachment in such way that film 1's other edge may be extended from the afore mentioned parallel line. The extended length is attached with duplitized adhesive tape 8 which has easily strippable adhesive protector piece 9 provided on one side, by means of tape attaching machine 4. Then the said extended length is cut along tape 8 with the help of cutter 5 and tubular foamed element 2 is dissected along the edge 11 of attached adhesive film 1.
