Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a compact combustion device by placing an atmizing chamber and a gasifying cylinder close together with a very narrow gap between them, supplying atomized fuel oil directly into the gasifying cylinder of a large diameter, and thereby improving the atomizing efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: When supersonic wave oscillator 16 is operated, supersonic wave oscillation element 15 irradiates a supersonic wave on liquid fuel L in atmizing chamber 5 from below. From the resulting jet column C, atomized fuel oil droplets are produced extensively. When fan 4 is operated under this condition, a part of the resultant wind is drawn into atomizing chamber 5 from air supply hole 17 as a carrier air, and the atomized fuel oil produced in it is sent to gasefying cylinder 6 from discharge port 18. At this time, the carrier air mixed with atomized fuel oil droplets is sent into gasifying cylinder 6 by the circulating air produced by impeller 19. Inside atomizing chamber 5 is provided shielding plate 21, for example, and only the completely atomized oil droplets are supplied into gasifying cylinder 6 from discharge port 18 through its surrounding edge part.
