Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve fuel and air sucking functions by employing a nickel alloy porous body as a core section material in a combustion equipment which is so designed that a core section material is first ignited for preparatory combustion to atomize fluid fuel prior to starting of main combustion.
CONSTITUTION: When alcohol fuel is supplied from a fuel supply gate 2, it is spread around circumferencial section of an outer box 1 and sucked up by a core section material 4. As the core section material is ignited, top section material 6 and partitioning material 5 are heated, and thereby alcohol is also heated and atomized. Atomization of alcohol is accelerated by this preparatory combustion allowing alcohol gas to jet out from a fuel hole 7, and when flame of the preparatory combustion turned on the alcohol gas, the preparatory combustion is ended and the main combustion is started. In this case, it is recommendable to use such a core section material as a three-dimensional irregular net-like porous material of nickel or nickel alloy with porosity rate of 80 -98%, i.e., 26 holes per inch - 70 holes per inch.
