Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate dispersion in measured value and wave-motion errors by holding constant all the time the grain density of a grain layer generated at a sensor part in a moisture measuring chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Grains contained in grain tank 4 flow down into the dropping type quality-adjustment chamber of lower quality-adjustment body 1 to form a grain layer, and they are dried and then returned via grain circulation process A to tank 4, where they are tempered. During this, motor 20 of moisture measuring device 6 is driven timely to turn grain-supply screw conveyor 8, so that grains will be supplied to sensor part 12 in measuring chamber 7 by dropping. An excessive amount of grains overflows from opening part F of the side wall to hold the supply grain amount of measuring chamber 7 constant. Then, although grains are discharged from the lower part of the measuring chamber by screw conveyor 14, the conveyance capacity of upper conveyor 8 is made greater than that of lower conveyor 14 in this case and grains in measuring chamber 7 are integrated into a grain layer of excessive density, which can be adjusted finely by opening and closing valve 16b.
