Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically convey fresh concrete from a high place to a low one and then horizontally or obliquely convey it from the dropping place to another place.
CONSTITUTION: An upper shutter 10 for a stock hopper 8 is opened to drop fresh concrete into a falling pipe 18. As the fresh concrete drops, the air in the pipe 18 and a receiving tank 12 is gradually compressed. When the pressure of the compressed air has exceeded the set pressure of a pressure control valve 29, it is opened to release excess air out of the tank 12 to maintain the pressure of the lower surface 34 at a prescribed level. The fresh concrete having entered into the receiving tank 12 overflows a weir 22 and falls on the inclined bottom 13 of the tank so that the concrete stays at the lowest part of the tank. The interior of the receiving tank 12 is set airtight. A discharge shutter 20 is then opened. Compressed air is supplied into the space 34 through a compressed air feed pipe 34. Other compressed air is supplied to a discharge port 19 through a feed pipe 26. As a result, the fresh concrete is conveyed through a pipeline 33 by pressure.
