Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the time for intake air load pressure switching by selectively opening several sonic nozzles according to the opening degree of the throttle valve of a carburetor to be tested, and by making a pressure adjustment according to test conditions by providing a preliminary room.
CONSTITUTION: In nozzle box 1, sonic nozzles 2 are arranged in parallel to partitioning wall 3 to partitioning the inside into nozzle upstream chamber 4 and downstream chamber 5. Respective nozzles 2 are equipped with switching unit 6 and selectively opened according to test conditions, and air is sucked by vacuum pump 8. To side chamber 4, tested carburetor 7 is connected and linked to different box 10 via on-off valve 11. Although the opening degree of the throttle valve of tested carburetor 7 is controlled by computer 15, the pressure is preliminary chamber 9, the opening degree of valve 11 and selection of units 6 are controlled at the same time. Then, an arithmetic unit calculating the pressure in chamber 9 and a controller operating vacuum pump 13 or air intake unit 14 are integrally constituted.
