Abstract
PURPOSE:A suction port used in a spark-ignition-type internal combustion engine, which can produce constant powerful turbulance without reducing the suction efficiency under high full-throttle speeds operation. CONSTITUTION:A suction port 8 running from a suction manifold 9 to a suction valve 6 is shaped in the helical state. One end of a bypass 12 opens to the inwall of the suction port 8, that is to the end 13 of it, and the other end of the bypass is connected to the manifold collected branch of a suction manifold 9 via a distribution pipe 14 and a duct 15. A butterfly valve 16 is supplied in the duct 15. A rod 17 connects the butterfly valve 16 to a diaphgram device 18 whose negatibe pressure chamber 20 is communicated with the internal of the suction manifold 9 via a negative pressure duct 21. A magnetically opening-and-closing valve 22 in connection to an engine frequency detector 23 is provided in the negative pressure duct 23, which opens when the fuequency rises over a specific value.
