Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize a moment of inertia of an air flow to improve sucking efficiency of air by forming a loop in an intake manifold and fitting a suction pipe to each cylinder which is branched off from the loop in an acute angle in a direction of the flow.
CONSTITUTION: In the device which is applied on a V type internal combustion engine, a loop in which air flows in one direction constantly is formed by one intake manifold 14a of an intake duct 13 which is connected with an air cleaner 11 through an air duct 12, an air duct 17, and the other intake manifold 14b. Then, air is branched off and sent into a cylinder head by each suction pipe 15 provided in a tangent direction from the loop. By doing so, air is charged in a cylinder by making use of the speed of air which flows in the loop when a suction valve is opened to improve air-sucking efficiency by this supercharging effect.
