Abstract

PURPOSE: To reset automatically a processor (MPC) by detecting the out-of-control state of MPC by detecting an input pulse varying to be supervised exceeding its allowable extent by monostable multivibrators which can be triggered repeatedly.
CONSTITUTION: To exercise a supervision over whether the operation process of MPC1 is normal or not, an external interruption signal of certain cycles is supplied to the nterruption input terminal of MPC1. An interruption routine sets up an instruction to be set to address counter AD and when MPC is operating normally, pulses of constant cycles are outputted from address decoding part 5. Then, 1st, 2nd and 3rd monostable multivibrators 6, 7 and 8 supervises the periodicity of output pulses and 3rd multivibrator 8 resets MPC1 via AND gate 9 when output pulses deviate from the allowable extent between the lowest limit and highest limit of cycles set by 1st multivibrator 6 and 2nd multivibrator 7 respectively.
