Abstract

PURPOSE: To monitor the operation state of a processor with a simple method to set a monitor time and a monitor processing step by a program, by using an anomaly detection part to receive signals from a counter part and detect anomaly of the microprocessor.
CONSTITUTION: Timer control part CTL supplies timing signals for operation monitor to make the operation of timer counter part CNT available according to I/O commands from microprocessor μpC. Counter part CNT can set an arbitrary counter value according to I/O commands, and anomaly of microprocessor μpC is detected according to signals from counter part CNT by anomaly detection part ALMDCTL. As a result, monitor of the operation state of processor μpC can be realized with a simple method, and a monitor time and a monitor processing step can be set arbitrarily by a program.
