Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the monitor for operation of the microprocessor by applying the trigger to the microprocessor via the periodic external interruption signal and with no alteration of the system and then calling out the specific address in the subroutine for decoding.
CONSTITUTION: The signals are supplied to the timing detection part from address decoding part 5 in synchronization with the interruption signal when the external interruption action is applied as long as microprocessor 1 has the normal operation. And thus the normalcy is detected at the timing detection part. When the action of processor 1 gets out of the normal state to have the idle running or runaway, the address which is not used under the normal program processing is called out based on the interruption routine order in case the external interruption signal is supplied. In this case, the cycle is disturbed, and thus no agreement is obtained at timing detection part 6 between the cycle of the external interruption signal and the corresponding output signal to inform the fault occurrence.
