Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize powerful effect of the head and prevent occurrence of central shrinkage, by forming a heat insulation box filled with molten metal in the position requiring retardation of solidification of molten metal, simultaneously when forming a ceramic shell mold on an extinguishable pattern.
CONSTITUTION: A ceramic shell layer and a shell layer (a) are repeatedly formed on the surface of an extinguishable pattern having the product shape of a casting B. An extinguishable pattern for heat insulation box is adhered and secured on the shell layer (a) at the posltion where occurrence of central shrinkage is expected. Next a shell layer (b) is repeatedly applied on the shell layer (a) and the extinguishable pattern. Then, extinguish out and removing the extinguishable patterns for heat insulation box and on the main body side, a mold f is obtained.
